Dr. John Supance graduated from The Ohio State University School of Medicine.  He completed two years of training in General Surgery and a residency program in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati.  While at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Supance received the Alter Peerless Award for excellence as Chief Resident.  Doctor Supance then spent the next year at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship training program, followed by two years of academic teaching at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, where he was the recipient of the Seymour Cohen Award for scientific research in Pediatric Otolaryngology.

Doctor Supance is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, a Charter Member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He has served as Chief of Otolaryngology, Chief of Surgery, member-at-large on the Medical Staff Executive Committee, Chief of Staff-elect and Chief of Staff at Children's Hospital of Orange County at Mission Hospital.  Doctor Supance has been selected every year as a California "Super Doctor" and has earned the “America’s Top Doctors” honor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Since 2004.

Doctor Supance has professional interests that include the pediatric airway, head and neck tumors as well as middle ear and sinus disorders.

Doctor Wohlgemuth graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1978. He then completed internship training at the University of California at San Diego and his Residency training in head and neck surgery at UCLA. He also studied neurology at the National Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London, England from 1979-1980.

Doctor Wohlgemuth is Board Certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  Doctor Wohlgemuth has served as the Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital.  He has also served as Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Chairman of the Bylaws Committee and Chief of Staff at Mission Hospital.  In 2005, Doctor Wohlgemuth was awarded the "Values in Action Award" for Dignity by both Mission Hospital and the St. Joseph Health System.  Doctor Wohlgemuth has been selected as a California "Super Doctor" in his specialty since 2011.  He has been selected as a "Physician of Excellence" by the Orange County Medical Association two years in a row 2016 and 2017.

His areas of interest are adult head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery and sinus disease. He has a subspecialty interest in snoring and sleep disorders. Dr. Wohlgemuth’s hobbies include surfing, golfing, vegetable gardening and flying drones.

Dr. Bredenkamp received his Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.  He then went on to complete a six year Residency in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine.  Dr. Bredenkamp's surgical training included two years of General Surgery and four years of Head and Neck specialty surgery.  He also spent one year in basic research studying the immunology of cancer.  

Dr. Bredenkamp is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He is the author of over twenty scientific papers and has written five book chapters.  Dr. Bredenkamp is a contributing author to MedicineNet.Com<http://MedicineNet.Com> and chief editor of FocusOnHearing.Com<http://FocusOnHearing.Com>.  He has served as the Chief of Surgery Mission Hospital, Chief of Surgery of Children's Hospital, Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital,  and the Medical Director of the Mission Ambulatory Surgicenter.  Dr. Bredenkamp has been selected as one of the "Best Doctors" in his specialty by Consumers' Guide to Top Doctors.  He is recognized by the OCMA at a "Physician of Excellence" in the specialty of Head and Neck Oncology.

Doctor Jakobsen received his Medical Degree from the University of California at San Francisco's School of Medicine. He spent one year as a Howard Hughes Research Scholar in the laboratory of Steven Rosenberg, M.D. at the Surgery Branch of the National Cancer Institute, studying both immunology and immunotherapy options for the treatment of melanoma. Doctor Jakobsen went on to complete a six year residency in the Department of Surgery at UCLA's School of Medicine. Doctor Jakobsen's surgical training included one-and-a-half years of general surgery and four-and-a-half years of head and neck specialty surgery. He also spent one year in basic research studying voice and voice disorders along with the feasibility of laryngeal transplantation. Doctor Jakobsen is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has written numerous scientific publications relating to laryngology and the study of immunology and immunotherapy of cancer. His professional interests include head and neck surgical oncology, sleep and sleep related disorders, pediatric surgery/otolaryngology as well as voice disorders/laryngology.

Doctor Cho is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), where he was admitted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society and worked with Nobel Laureate, Dr. Tonegawa. He then obtained his Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF), along with the Dean's prize in Research. This was in recognition for his work on growth factors in wound healing as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow. Doctor Cho then went on to complete a five year Residency at UCSF. He has several publications on wound healing, cholesterol granulomas of the ear, and reconstructive techniques in facial plastic surgery. His professional interests lie in ear surgery, advanced sinus surgery, head and neck cancer, pediatric otolaryngology, and facial reconstructive surgery.

Doctor Wells received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine, where he was a President's Undergraduate Scholar in neurobiology.  He then received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1990.  Doctor Wells went on to complete a five year residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at St. Louis University Medical Center.  He has been Board Certified since 1996, through the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

He has served as Chief of Surgery, Treasurer/Secretary of the Medical Staff, and Vice-Chief of the Medical Staff at Saddleback Medical Center, San Clemente.  Dr. Wells has been the Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital since 2014.  He was selected by the Orange County Medical Association as a "Physician of Excellence" in 2014.  Doctor Wells earned 2016 “America’s Top Doctors” honor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

Doctor Wells' professional interests are general and pediatric otolaryngology, sinus and nasal disorders, facial reconstruction, head and neck oncology, and thyroid/parathyroid surgery.

Doctor Crockett is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Ge received his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Doctor Crockett completed his residency at the University of Southern California Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. He then completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Doctor Crockett returned to California and became an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine (USC University Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles), and was one of the “Doctors of USC”, from 1987 to 2008, when he joined the practice at Head and Neck Associates. Doctor Crockett has been voted one of Castle-Connolly’s “America’s Top Doctors” and “America’s Top Doctors for Cancer”. He was selected as a “Physician of Excellence” by the Orange County Medical Association in 2014 and has been one of California’s “Super Doctors” since 2000. 


Doctor Crockett’s special interests include pediatric otolaryngology/pediatric head and neck tumors, adult head and neck cancer and thyroid/parathyroid surgery, pediatric/adult airway reconstruction, pediatric/adult sinus surgery as well as general otolaryngology.


Doctor Crockett is active in Boy Scouting (Silver Beaver and Orange County Council Man of Character), and his hobbies include backpacking and mountaineering, rock climbing (getting a little too old for this one), high power rocketry and competitive ballroom dancing.

He received his undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of California at Los Angeles. He then graduated from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. This was followed by a five year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center. Prior to joining HNA, Dr Mundi was on staff at Beth Israel Medical Center and at the NYEEI in Manhattan, NYC.

Dr. Mundi's professional interests include general and pediatric otolaryngology, sinus and nasal disorders, head and neck surgical oncology, sleep apnea, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, voice and swallowing disorders, hearing loss, vertigo, and facial reconstruction surgery.

Dr. Mundi enjoys photography, traveling, UCLA sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Dr. Combs received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete a 4 year residency at UCI/Long Beach Veterans Hospital. Dr. Combs’ military service includes a tour in Vietnam as a surgeon for a year. He received a bronze star award for his service.

Before joining HNA Dr Combs was in private practice in Laguna Beach for over 40 years. He has served as chief of surgery and chief of staff at South Coast Medical Center now Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.

Dr. Venkat is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who specializes in the treatment of allergy and asthma symptoms for both adults and children. She has been practicing in South Orange County for 30 years. Dr. Venkat specializes exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases.

She received her specialty training at Children's Hospital Michigan, Wayne State University. She is double board-certified by the American board of Allergy & Immunology and American Board of pediatrics. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy & Immunology, American College of Allergist and American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of various organizations including Orange County Allergy Society, Orange County Medical Association, and finally, she is an Assistant Professor at University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Thompson then completed a subspecialty Fellowship in Rhinology, Sinus & Skull Base Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He has authored numerous scientific papers pertaining to chronic sinusitis, smell loss, sinus tumors, endoscopic sinus & skull base surgery, and head and neck cancer. He is currently a peer reviewer for the Laryngoscope and the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy and was recently selected as a Top Peer Reviewer for his contributions to the Laryngoscope. Dr. Thompson is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and a member of the American Rhinologic Society.

Dr. Thompson's professional interests include sinus and nasal disorders, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, revision endoscopic sinus surgery, frontal sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, septal deviation, sinus tumors, sinus cancer, cerebrospinal fluid leak, inverted papilloma, smell loss, general adult and pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck oncology, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, cycling, snowboarding, hiking and playing basketball.
