Nasal Endoscopy
Office nasal endoscopy allows a detailed examination of the nasal cavity, sinus outflow tracts, and nasopharynx. It is currently the preferred method to assess nasal congestion, sinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal tumors, and epistaxis (nose bleeding). Your doctor will use a small endoscope and look for swelling, infection, bleeding, mucus drainage, nasal polyps, and tumors. Nasal endoscopy is not painful, and a nasal decongestant and local anesthetic spray can be used to minimize any discomfort.
