John Supance

Doctor Supance graduated from The Ohio State University School of Medicine. He completed two years of training in General Surgery and a residency program in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. While at the University of Cincinnati, Doctor Supance received the Alter Peerless Award for excellence as Chief Resident.Doctor Supance then spent the next year at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship training program followed by two years of academic teaching at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as a full-time Assistant Professor in the department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery where he was the recipient of the Seymour Cohen Award for scientific research in Pediatric Otolaryngology.Doctor Supance is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, a charter member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served as Chief of Otolaryngology, Chief of Surgery, member-at-large on the Medical Staff Executive Committee, Chief of Staff-elect and Chief of Staff at Children's Hospital at Mission Hospital. Doctor Supance is currently in private practice in South Orange County, California, and has professional interests that include the pediatric airway, head and neck tumors as well as middle ear and sinus disorders. Mark Wohlgemuth

Doctor Wohlgemuth graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine.He then completed internship training at the University of California at San Diego and his Residency training in head and neck surgery at UCLA.He also studied neurology at the National Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London, England from 1979-1980. Doctor Wohlgemuth is Board Certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Doctor Wohlgemuth is currently in private practice in Mission Viejo, California where he has served as the Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital.He is presently Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Chairman of the Bylaws Committee and serves as Chief of Staff-elect at Mission Hospital.Doctor Wohlgemuth was selected in 2000 and 2002 as one of the "Best Doctors"in his specialty by Consumers' Guide to Top Doctors. His areas of interest are adult head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery and sinus disease.He has a subspecialty interest in snoring and sleep disorders. |

James Bredenkamp

Doctor Bredenkamp received his Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.He then went on to complete a six year Residency in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. Doctor Bredenkamp’s surgical training included two years of General Surgery and four years of Head and Neck specialty surgery. He also spent one year in basic research studying the immunology of cancer. Doctor Bredenkamp is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the author of over twenty scientific papers and has written five book chapters. Doctor Bredenkamp is a contributing author to MedicineNet.Com and chief editor of FocusOnHearing.Com. He is currently in private practice in Mission Viejo, California where Doctor Bredenkamp has served as the Chief of Surgery at Mission Children’s Hospital, the Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital and the Medical Director of the Mission Ambulatory Surgicenter. Mike Jakobsen

Doctor Jakobsen received his Medical Degree from the University of California at San Franciscos School of Medicine. He spent one year as a Howard Hughes Research Scholar in the laboratory of Steven Rosenberg, M.D. at the Surgery Branch of the National Cancer Institute studying both immunology and immunotherapy options for the treatment of melanoma. Doctor Jakobsen went on to complete a six year residency in the Department of Surgery at UCLA’s School of Medicine. Doctor Jakobsen’s surgical training included one-and-a-half years of general surgery and four-and-a-half years of head and neck specialty surgery. He also spent one year in basic research studying voice and voice disorders along with the feasibility of laryngeal transplantation. Doctor Jakobsen is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has written numerous scientific publications relating to laryngology and the study of immunology and immunotherapy of cancer. Doctor Jakobsen is currently in private practice in Mission Viejo, California. His professional interests include head and neck surgical oncology, sleep and sleep related disorders, pediatric surgery/ otolaryngology as well as voice disorders/laryngology. |

Michael Cho

Doctor Cho received his undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was admitted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He then obtained his Medical Degree from University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) along with the Dean's prize in Research. This was in recognition for his work on growth factors in wound healing as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow. Doctor Cho then went on to complete a five year Residency at UCSF. He has several publications on wound healing, cholesterol granulomas of the ear, and reconstructive techniques in facial plastic surgery. Growing up in Southern California, Doctor Cho learned to speak English and Korean. His professional interests lie in ear surgery and advanced sinus surgery. |
